Hany Abdelkawi is Account Strategist at Google, Middle East and North Africa. In his capacity, Hany works on the business development of major advertisers in the region to build and execute digital advertising plans that utilizes the cyber space to meet challenging objectives.
Before joining Google, Hany used to manage the entrepreneurial incubation center under the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Earlier, he was a Project Manager at Orascom Telecom leading the Search Technology department that developed an Arabic search engine with multiple products and tools that tackle the particularities of the Arabic language and help leverage the Arabic web at large. Hany started his career as a Software Engineer in Raya Holding and then moved to Orascom Telecom.
Hany has Masters and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo (AUC). He also obtained his third degree, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in AUC–specializing in Marketing and Human Resources.
